Formulas
There are ten formulas used in this tutorial. The first seven are used to determine fertilizer needed based on soil tests and non-fertilizer nitrogen sources. The next calculation is used to compare costs of different types of fertilizer. The last two equations are used to determine irrigation depth. The formulas are relational. Values needed for each ensuing formula are based on numbers calculated in the preceding one, so they should be done in succession. To use the formulas, click on the link next to the calculator icon in the sections they appear. The formulas are also listed separately via the 'Formulas' link on the left-hand menu.
Video
Video clips accompany the text. Brief segments are linked in some sections. To view video, click on the video icon in the sections they appear. All the clips can be accessed via the 'Video' link on the left-hand menu.
Guidelines An outline of the basic guidelines for effective irrigation and nitrogen management are listed on this page.
Resources A listing of a few good web resources relating to water quality.
Credits The credits page shows who contributed to this project.
